Himachal Pradesh is a
playground of adventure and one can enjoy any adventure like mountaineering, trekking,
skiing, hang gliding, water sports, golfing, hunting etc. Himachal Pradesh is a state situated in the lap of the Himalayas. Nearly ūth of the state is under hills and mountains. Himachal Pradesh falls in the western Himalayas, which was earlier known as Punjab Himalayas. Most of the peaks are lying in Kinnaur, Spiti Lahaul, Pangi and Kullu Mountains. These peaks are not so high but are difficult to climb and interesting too. The mountaineers can attempt any peak according to their technical ability.The main mountaineering area falls in Kullu, Lahaul, Dhauladhar range and Pangi valley. Here the arrangements of guides, porters, mules and supplies can be made. |
