The trek starts from Thalisain via Pauri, an enchanting hill station presenting a panoramic view of the Garhwal Himalaya snowy peaks, and on a clear day the sunset view is worth seeing from Kandolia, 5 km from Rishikesh, and Kotdwar (way to Pauri). From Thalisan trek trails through a very rich forest of Deodar, Silver, Fir, Pine and Oak and Wildlife.

 

The best season is winter when the terrain is not difficult with its ascents and  descents. The trek is full of life at this time of the year and the trekkers will enjoy the scenic beauty throughout.

Drive of 134 kms/108 kms from Rishikesh/ Kotdwar respectively to Pauri. Lunch Enroute. Sightseeing will be in the evenings and overnight stay at the hotel.

Drive of 94 kms to Thalisian with packed lunch. The drive will be of 4 Hrs. and after reaching Thalisian a trek of 13 kms to Piersain will start. Overnight stay will be in tents.

Morning will be free for Leisure and after an early hot Lunch the trek of 7 kms to Binsar will start. Overnight stay will be in tents.
bullet1.gif (116 bytes) 4th Day A trek of 22 kms downhill to Gairsain will start from Binsar. Overnights stay in tents or forest Rest House.

Drive of 235 kms to Rishikesh. The antique Adi Badri temple and the confluence of the river Pindar and Alaknanda at Karnaprayag can be seen enroute. Breakfast and Lunch will be enroute.
NOTE: The nearest railheads for this trek are Rishikesh and Kotdwar.
