Har-Ki- Pauri - (1.5 Kms) Popularly known as Brahma Kund. King Vikramditya in memory of his Lundher Bhartrihari constructed this sacred ghat. It is a sight to behold in the evening when hundreds of lighted lamps are floated on the pure water of the Ganga during the Aarti Ritual. Chandi Devi (6 Kms) This place marks the spot where a demon was slain by goddess Chandi. There is a temple here which house a statue placed by Adi Shankaracharya, the great Hindu saint. It is situated at the top of Neel Parvat on the other bank of river Ganga in 1929 AD. Mansa Devi (3.5 kms.) The temple of goddess Mansa Devi is situated at the top of Bilwa Parvat and is accessed by a Ropeway. It is a Shrine dedicated to Mansa Devi, wife of the Nag King Vasuki. The top of the hill gives an excellent view of Haridwar.
Raksha Mahadev Temple (4 Kms.) This temple is a tribute to the legend king Daksha Prajapati, father in Law of Lord Shiva. Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar (3.5 Kms) This is a place where, during winter season fascinating birds especially the Siberiancrane can be seen around Laljiwala on the banks of the river Ganga. It is an enchanting bird watching point. Gurukul Kangri University (3 Km.) This is a well-known institution situated on Haridwar Jawalapur Road. Swami Shardha Nandji Maharaj, founder of Arya Samaj movement in India, founded this. Bharat Heavy Electricals at Ranpur (4.5 Km.) This is a government of India undertaking for manufacture of heavy electrical equipments like motors, turbines, generators etc. Sapt Rishi This is a place where Ganga divides herself into 7 small streams.
