INFORMATION CENTERS

M.P Tourism has Tourist offices at all the airports, major railway stations and in all the major cities of Madhya Pradesh. You can get all the information regarding places of tourist interest, accommodation etc. from these offices.

Besides they also provide cars (with drivers) on hire, and also organize guided tours of places of interest near the major cities of Madhya Pradesh.

There are also private tourist agencies that provide visitors with information regarding places of tourist interest and accommodation available there in.

MP Tourism has a very good network of offices all over the state. Through these offices you can book accommodation in hotels run by them. These hotels are there in all the major cities of Madhya Pradesh, as well as at or near major tourist destinations.

MP Tourism provides accommodation to suit all pockets. Hotels falling within the middle range offer a choice of AC or Air-cooled rooms (extra charges).

Besides MP tourism managed hotels, there are many private hotels in all major cities of MP and at or near all major tourist spots.

Near or at places of religious importance e.g. at OMKARESHWAR, UJJAIN etc. religious organizations run Dharamshalas where you can stay by paying a very nominal sum. However they mostly do not welcome foreigner.

At some places, there are Youth Hostels where you can stay in dormitory style rooms for as less than Rs.50.

ACCOMODATION IN BHOPAL

If you can have budgetary constraints then hotels on station road will be suitable. Modestly priced hotels can be found on Hamidia and Berasia Rd. But if budget is not a problem then head for the Shamba hills or the MP Nagar area.

BUDGET

YHA youth hostel Rs.40 for a bed in the dorm and 120 for a double room. If you are member the rates are halved.

HOTEL RANJIT: (HAMIDIA RD.) reasonably priced and very clean air-cooled singles\doubles are 150/200 or 325/375 with A.C however a deposit of 500 is demanded.

MAYUR (BERASIA RD) offers AC Rooms and Restaurants.

PANCHANAN (NEW MARKE) offers AC Rooms, Restaurants, Bar (run by MP Tourism)

HOTEL RAMA INTERNATIONAL (HAMIDIA RD) reasonably priced, offers AC rooms.modest (range: std-200/250 A.C and DELUXE 450/600 + 15 to 20% tax.

HOTEL TAJ (HAMIDIA RD.) offers AC rooms, bar.

HOTAL RAMSONS (HAMIDIA RD.) offers AC Rooms, Bar.

HOTEL PALASH (TT NAGAR) run by M.P Tourism.

Tariff is on the expensive side.

EXPENSIVE

(Range STD rooms –1140/1940 DELUXE 1600/2500 + 10 to 20% tax.

HOTEL LAKE VIEW ASHOK: (SHAMLA HILLS) offers, Balconies with all the rooms, with a view of the lake, restaurants, bar, AC rooms.

JEHAN NUMA PALACE: (SHAMLA HILLS) offers, opportunity to stay in a former palace, AC rooms, bar, restaurants.

RESIDENCY HOTEL: (MP NAGAR) offers, health club, restaurants, AC rooms.

TRAIN STATION There is a tourist information center at the station.

AIRPORT at the airport there is a tourist information centre which offers exhaustive and valuable information about Bhopal and MP.
